Before Your Appointment: What To Expect

Our goal at Chena Veterinary Clinic has always been to provide the best client service and veterinary health care in Fairbanks. Our commitment to you is to continue to offer our world-class service in our state-of-the-art veterinary facility (and aquarium for your viewing pleasure!). Your pet’s annual check-up will include a total physical exam, with a thorough investigation from nose to tail. It’s a good idea to keep an accurate medical diary not only of the procedures and vaccinations your pet receives at the vet, but also to note things like your pet’s elimination habits and any physical changes or unusual occurrences. Also keep track of small shifts in your pet’s behavior, including urinary marking habits and mood swings, along with diet and routine modifications.

Cancellation/No-Show Policy

Despite best intentions, sometimes things come up and schedules change. At Chena Veterinary Clinic, we try our best to accommodate our valued patients, however, when patients don’t show up for scheduled appointments or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, it takes the availability of a veterinarian away from pets on our cancellation waiting list. We ask that anytime you need to cancel an appointment, please call us immediately so we can accommodate as many pets as possible. This is also so you can avoid the $40 cancellation fee for appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice. We appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions about our cancellation policy, please don’t hesitate to call.
