Dr. Renee Rember is a licensed veterinarian who enjoys treating a wide variety of pets. As a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, she absolutely loves all animals, but does admit to having a soft spot for those older pets!

Dr. Irene Fisher

Dr. Fisher was born and raised in Ester and attended West Valley High School and UAF for her pre-veterinary education.

Phoebe Smart

Phoebe grew up as a "military brat"(her words) and moved all over growing up- from places as far and wide as Germany all the way to Alabama. Her love for animals and community service merged when she began volunteering at her local animal shelter when she was 16.

Mercy Hampton

Mercy started working at Chena in 2018 as a kennel assistant. Her love and ease with animals was evident when working with direct patient care. But soon, her natural social skills with the clients shined through. Slowly but surely, she became the Office Manager, first in duty, then by name!

Dunya Wise

Veterinary Technician

Dunya was introduced to the clinic by bringing her family dogs as patients, and then asked to start volunteering! She was officially hired in the spring of 2016 as a kennel assistant and worked off and on for several years based on her school schedule.

Sue Ellis

Veterinary Technician

Sue has been an employee at Chena Vet Clinic for over 10 years and has worked in veterinary medicine since arriving in Alaska in 2009. She received her LVT in 2016 after learning the skills needed through on the job training, studying, conferences and hard work.

Kim Iverson

Veterinary Technician

Kim was initially hired with Chena Veterinary Clinic in the fall of 2011. After years of working closely with the vet team, Kim studied and worked hard to earn her veterinary technician license in the spring of 2018.
